In order to standardise the process of preparation, presentation and assessment of the Master's Thesis in Official Master's Degrees, the corresponding regulation have been established with the obligations and rights of tutors and students.

Masther's Thesis defence application for current academic year
Deadlines for application for the defence of the Masther's Thesis (according to the calendar of the Faculty of Sciences)
Ordinary call:
- Defence application: June 16, 2025.
- Defence date: July 2, 2025 (pending availability of the Examination Board).
Extraordinary call in July:
- Defence application: July 7, 2025.
- Defence date: July 23, 2025 (pending availability of the Examination Board).
Extraordinary call in September:
- Defence request: September 3, 2025.
- Defence date: September 15, 2025 (pending availability of the Examination Board).
Defence application procedure
The application for the defence of the Master's Thesis will be made through the E-Office, according to these instructions.
The following documents must be attached to the defence application form (link to the models of the documents):
- Declaration of authorship (available at the E-Office).
- Approval of the Tutor (available at the E-Office)
- Master's Thesis report, with the format indicated in the teaching guide, and with the cover page according to these models:
- If the work is confidential/seized, a written statement from the tutor informing of this fact and stating the length of the seizure.
After the defence of the Master's Thesis by the student, the tutor will have to provide the Examination Board during a private discussion with the document ‘Tutor's Report’ according to this model, in which he/she describes the work carried out by the student.
