The Master's Degree in Physics offers the possibility of doing an optional 6 ECTS Internship (curricular work placement of 150 hours of work) in each of the three specialisation modules.
In these internships, students will carry out research work in companies, participating in the tasks of their R+D+i teams. This is intended to provide students with an opportunity to gain experience and establish contacts in the field of industrial R+D+i, taking advantage of the network of contacts of the research groups involved in the Master's Degree.
The companies for internships can be located through the web portal of the Internship Service of the UVa.
In addition, this website will announce the specific practices that companies can direct to students of the degree.
Internship Coordinator: Iván Santos Tejido (email: santos@uva.es)
Internships are regulated by the Regulations on External Academic Placements at the University of Valladolid.
Internships are managed through the Sigma-Alumnos Portal. In the following manual you can find the necessary information to manage your internship.
You can also send by email to the Internship Academic Coordinator the awarding document at least 15 days before the start of the internship.
After the internship assignment, the student must contact the academic tutor before the start of the internship and maintain contact during the internship.
At the end of the internship, whether curricular or extracurricular, the student must carry out the following actions:
- Ask the company tutor to fill in the company tutor's report through the UVa internship portal, as this is necessary to grade the internship.
- The student has thirty days to upload the internship report in electronic format (.pdf) to the Sigma-alumni management programme, section "Prácticas en empresa" and must also fill in the student report available in the programme.
- After uploading the report, the student must contact the academic tutor so that he/she can grade the internship. The model report can be found in the section "Prácticas en empresa" of Sigma-Alumni website.
More information here.
Notes:
- The internship report can only be uploaded once to the internship portal, so please check its content carefully.
- It is recommended to use the corporate email address @estudiantes.uva.es in all communications related to the internship, both with the internship coordinator and with the academic and company tutors.
